We are MARZ, an AI-enabled VFX company on a mission to democratize VFX.

We make producing premium TV fast and easy, using a combination of proprietary AI software, TV-specific production operations, GPU clusters and world-class talent spanning diverse industries.

Who we need

We are looking to add a talented Senior Accountant to our dynamic, growing, and passionate team. This role reports directly to the CFO, and responsibilities will include:

Lead the month-end/quarterly/year-end financial close procedures
Manage and lead the process of reviewing revenue tracking, booking, and processes
Manage revenue projection modeling, review, and budgeting exercises
Collaborate with various internal teams for review of process & procedures to ensure streamlined workflow between the respective business teams
Assist production with bidding and project budgeting requirements
Assist with media tax credit and grant applications
Other ad hoc activities, as assigned

What you bring

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with the following experience and skills:

3+ years of experience in finance/accounting
CPA designation required
Experience with revenue recognition under ASPE, in relation to licensing and software sales/tracking is an asset
Ability to handle responsibilities with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Organized and strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge
Knowledge of the VFX industry would be an asset, but not required

What happens next

After we receive your application (resume and demo reel), it will be reviewed by the Talent Acquisition team and the Hiring Manager. We will then invite successful candidates to a Technical Interview (~60 mins) with the Hiring Manager. All interviews are conducted via Google Meet.
