We are MARZ, an AI-enabled VFX company on a mission to democratize VFX.
We make producing premium TV fast and easy, using a combination of proprietary AI software, TV-specific production operations, GPU clusters and world-class talent spanning diverse industries.
We launched in 2018, and have had the privilege of working on over 100 premium TV projects to date, such as Moon Knight (Marvel), The Umbrella Academy S3 (Netflix), WandaVision (Marvel), Ms. Marvel (Marvel), The Flight Attendant (HBO Max), Invasion (Apple TV+), Wednesday (Netflix), Carnival Row (Amazon Prime Video), Spiderman: No Way Home (Marvel), Being the Ricardo’s (Amazon Prime Video) and many more!
Who we need
We are looking to add a talented Junior Pipeline TD to our dynamic, growing, and passionate Technology team, and we are open for this person to work remotely. The responsibilities will include:
- Work in a fast-paced, sometimes high pressure environment supporting artists, researchers and engineering staff when technical issues arise.
- Support and maintain the company’s current technical capabilities and contribute to future technical projects.
- Write and maintain clear, accurate, and concise documentation
- Collaborate with the Development team, Production, and Supervisors to develop new tools and workflows.
- Support and work with multiple departments, including I/O, Editorial, Compositing and Research and Development.
- Provide assistance and support for Production members.
- Communicate and collaborate with the Pipeline team members.
- Assist with other tasks within the global production technology needs.
What you bring
We are looking for a Junior Pipeline TD with the following experience and skills:
- 1+ years of experience developing code in the CG industry.
- 2+ years of Python experience and/or C++ experience
- Houdini experience
- Excellent detail-oriented, problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar discipline/experience(required)
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience and in-depth knowledge with Linux-based and Windows-based development
- Strong ability to work as a team and collaborate, as well as individually meet coding goals.
What happens next
After we receive your application (resume and demo reel), it will be reviewed by the Talent Acquisition team and the Hiring Manager. We will then invite successful candidates to a Technical Interview (~60 mins) with the Hiring Manager. All interviews are conducted via Google Meet.
